![]() I have so many memories playing this when I was younger, some levels stressed me out because they were so hard and trying to get 40 orbs before you could fight Riot was annoying as hell. The game obviously is a massive step up from the first one by making it more exciting, making more exciting, different levels and adding so much more powers into the game to make it a classic.Įverything about this game is just so great: the levels, the characters you meet, the sass of Elora. It’s a fun, challenging game that I have played soooooooooo many times but have never finished 100% (some of those Orb missions are so damn hard). One of the defining games from my childhood. And, it goes without saying, no one does cinematics like Blizzard. ![]() The hellish feel of this game is as flawless as Diablo III is flawed. Crawl-under-your-skin levels of terror were experienced during boss fights like, say, Mephisto. ![]() And the graphics-the world itself-was just so. Dueling was fun and meaningful in this game, as was trading (God, the amount I'd spend on SOJ rings. My pride and joy was my sorceress, who was a total diva and could tear through Secret Cow Level bovines like paper with her ice orbs, but I really fell in love with the insanity that came with raising an army of followers with my necromancer. Cases of Mountain Dew were had during late nights, school was skipped, and my social circle basically lived inside this game world for a period of time. Anyway, Diablo II was, for me, that game that I probably should have been treated for video game addiction for. ![]()
